You should also include the rating system in the meta data. The NSA
system is different from the British system is different from the ISC
system, etc. The ratings for two players may also be different
depending on the dictionary. It might be possible to map all of these
to one rating system, but it's probably just easier to store the system
as a field.
Also, while it's easy for a human to understand the difference between
8H and H8, it actually encodes two pieces of information, the starting
location and the directionality of the play. It's probably best if the
XML stored these two pieces in separate fields.
