Okay, you're right, I lost the point a little bit. But uncommon words make up the majority of the list of "misses" I create when I go through the dictionary, so they are given a sort of bonus in this way similar to what they might get through what you are proposing.
 
I know that my playability algorithm is not the last word on this, and if you'd like to improve on it feel free, but personally I feel that my time is better spent studying with what I have now than refining the values.
