Tony, I agree, there are way to many Macho, Egotistical, Drunken, Slob, Trophy Hunters and that frustrates me to. There's also many poachers that need to be punished severely for their greedy actions.

But, there are many more ethical, law abiding hunters who truly care about the natural resources that mother nature has givin us. We have to manage our resources and hunting is natures way of keeping the food chain in balance.

We (my family and friends) also eat all the animals we take from nature and use as much of the animals as we can. Similar to taking what I need from our garden. I also tan all my elk hides and have used the leather for lotsa stuff.....

Like my "Elk hide Lap-Chaps" that keep my lap, legs and feet dry and one, for over my head n shoulders that drapes over me and the back of my chair. It keeps me and my wheelchair warm n dry! During the wind, rain or snow......very cozy!

I was being extreme and sarcastic (and do apologize if I did offended anyone, very sorry) yet honest in my earlier post. I hope you don't think I'm trying to boost my ego or think I hunt just to kill...not so....Im just excited to be alive on my 14th aniv. and am about to have the chance, opportunity and ability to taste some of the best things in life (besides fresh wild meat)......Independance and FREEDOM........Dreams of the fallowing keep me grounded, focused and on the right path so to speak....

I eagerly await the possibility of driving myself (at 65+mph, lol) to the Alpine Wilderness Meadows of the Cascade Mountain Tops at 7,000ft, in the Fall, with my Elk Calls ......Breathing the clean, fresh and cool Mountain Air.

Breathe deep.........exhale.....ahhhh, feel that? Crisp and refreshing, huh? Can you see the sun setting between Mt.Rainier and St Helens, peeking through the 80', old growth, Evergreen trees?  lol, I can......Can you hear the sounds of nature with the Bull Elk calling back to you and getting closer?....I can!!

..........I just want to experience the opportunity to do it for and by myself.............  for once in a long while!!  Just being out there rejuvenates my soul! My batteries are gettin low!! Know what I mean? lol

I hunt, fish, camp and spend time outdoors for my own peace of mind. Not to hang something on the wall, pat myself on the back or brag to my buddies about.

Geez, my Soap-Box was about 7,000ft tall today.....sorry!!

Tony I've never hunted with anyone that didn't eat his kill.
Most sportsman like Nugent don't even buy store bought meat and where I'm at most hunters eat tenderloin all year around.

Stunt....i liked your response!! You know, i don't have prob with eating
meat...hell, i hate most vegtables, and eat meat, but i don't like anything
that resembles wallowing in the glory of killing an animal. Kill-to-eat is
not killing for the fun of killing...and you know in your heart there's a
LOT of hunters there to kill, not eat!!

Native Americans killed, and used every part of the animal for
survival...white people came along, and killed hundreds of buffalo lying on
the prairie for the helluv it...plus, they knew it would drive the Natives
into starvation!!

There was an infamous DJ shock jock down here who had a pig roast...they
castrated the pig on air, making fun of it as it screamed, then they excuted
it with laugher...most humans think we are better than animals, i personally
think they are better than us!!

Now, pass the steak, please!!
