While I was in rehab, the nurses and a couple of the doctors were pushing for me to have a suprapubic. My doctor told me not to do anything for the first three years because my body is going to change and he was right. I'm fortunate enough to have a spontaneous bladder that empties when it gets full on its own. I never had a UTI while I was walking but I can only imagine how painful that would be because of the way my body reacts to them now. With all the UTIs that are going around this group with you females, would it help if you were able to be stood up or at least partially stood up daily for a few minutes to help the flow? |
