Greg, My Medicare part A & B kicked in Dec '01. I also had Medicaid which then covered attendant care 2x a day, 7 days a week and a skilled nursing visit 1x a month. Enter Medicare as primary: visits slashed to 1x a day, 3 days a week, and, no, Medicaid doesn't fill the gap I was told over and over until, with no other financial recourse, in Feb '02 I entered a nursing home. I hope your experience is a more positive one than mine.
