Glad to read your posting regarding Disney World, Dianna.
As a settler, you are reaping some of those many benefits of those pioneers
who preceded you and your extended family. From arrival at the airports,
your hotel accommodations and those enjoyments while visiting Disney World.
After all these years, its not perfect, but far better than it was more than 10

years ago. Today it is not uncommon to see several dozens of people in
wheelchairs and scooters at most major airports, hotels and public parkways.
Thanks
for sharing your experience with us and I hope that you and yours are
considering another trip to the home of oranges, grapefruits and mangos.
Best Wishes

Hello All,
I just returned from a week at Disney World with my granddaughter & husband.
We had a great time! I haven't flown since 9-11. The airport wasn't bad at
all traveling with a wheelchair. I was able to stay in my power chair all the
way to boarding then my husband transferred me to my manual that fit to the
first row & transferred again. The airlines took both chairs away & we had no
problems with having to box anything. It was Continental Airlines & a direct
flight though. We rented a Dodge Caravan to put my chair in the back & go to
all the parks. I found Disney to be very accessible as much as possible. The
trams were accessible. They even had a few rides that were accessible! If
anyone is thinking about an accessible trip, I suggest Disney.
