I was pleasantly surprised last year when we went to Disneyland after a four year hiatus. There were quite a few rides that were accessible, but my favorite ride by far was California soar. They were extremely pleasant and did not rush us for the transfer from my wheelchair to the bench. My daughter and son in law sat on either side of me and made sure that I was feeling secure. Of course we did not soar, but it sure felt like it. When I got off I made the comment that I could’ve done that ride again, and the attendant said that next time to tell them I would like to ride twice, and they would make arrangements for that. That was the only ride that I actually got out of my chair for, and it was well worth the hassle J
There was a jungle ride that accommodated my large wheelchair and of course the Mark Twain Riverboat, and a couple more that I can’t remember, as well as the mono rail. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and can hardly wait to go again next year. Several of our friends in Southern California always want us to tell them when we are going to Disneyland, because wheelchairs get to go to the head of the line with their entire party, and they thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of my being in a wheelchair.
