Nifedpine (spelling) is my protocol when in AD. Slice the capsule to
squeeze the juice under the tongue. Blood pressure will drop in a few
moments which will give you time to resolve the problem. I thought every
quad did this. Right on, do not leave it at home.

I should probably look into having one of these pills with me in case I have
severe dysreflexia when I am out and about, but I do have a tube of
nitroglycerin cream for use if I am at home.

My doctor likes it better because if the source of the dysreflexia can be
remedied, you can simply remove the nitroglycerin strip from your shoulder
area and your BP will not bottom out.

I would listen to the other people about checking that website.
Take care and I hope you feel better shortly.

I always keep nifedipine with me just in case my bp gets too high. It will
drop your bp fairly fast (a minute or two).

Also, I use zylocaine jelly before and during my bowel program and cath
changes to numb the areas. therefore, less a.d..
