Dear Tim,
I use one and find it to be great on the coldest nights. The trick to getting
the most from one is to use a small fan to push air past it or I turn on my
ceiling fan on low so you feel no breeze, but air is moving. With it set on 600
watts and turned to 30 percent on the dial I still wake up and turn it down.
During the day I turn on a box fan blowing through it and out my door into the
rest of the place. I haven't used my furnace since 2000. Not sure it even
works. I do have two of these type heaters and I'm comfy.
The trick is to move air past them.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Radiator type space heater

Was wondering if anyone here uses one of those electric oil-filled radiator
space heaters in their bedroom, or else where, and what your opinion of it is
for warming up a room?

Tim
