Thanks, but their bedrooms are too far away, plus I lack the lung capacity to
blow the whistle

Just a suggestion why not use a whistle or a bell.

there is also an alarm that x-10 makes which is quite effective in
producing a really high pitched sound. In fact, it can be set to stay on until
you shut it off or the roommate shuts it off. That way you know the person is
up and on their way.

with it preset to full volume. If you can't access your computer, turn your TV
up to full volume. If that doesn't work, you've got to get a new roommate.

At 09:18 PM 9/29/2009, Steve Crowder said something that elicited
my response:

Sometimes I have problems at night and I desperately need to get
a roommate to come into my room, and nobody answers my wireless intercom, their
cell phone or the house phone, and I'm left to deal with it on my own. Does
anybody know of a good, loud buzzer or anything I might be able to use to raise
the dead?? I've actually had to call 911, who doesn't understand that I am
spasming because I need to be rolled. So they washed their hands of me, and
have made it clear that I either let them take me to the emergency room next
time or pay for them to come out.. My roommate insists that he is just too
heavy a sleeper. I'm out of options. What is out there that may help me? Better
roommates?

              Thanks, Nick
