Pain pumps can be very effective when using the proper meds and the person is trained in its operation. During the first few weeks its trial and error and keep in contact with your doctor if you have any adverse affects. Best Wishes In a message dated 11/8/2009 9:00:54 P.M. I'm only 52 and after at least 9 back surgeries, a scare that runs from my hairline to my tail bone and a set of rods from my waistline to my shoulders I feel more like 65. My pain tolorences are pretty high, but the nerve pain that I have had lately has forced me to search out a pain pump to releive my pain. I'm due to have it put in 3 weeks and look forward to some relief. I curious if anyone else has had one and how they are getting by?
