A very good point there. Also, I didn't realize the original question was about
flattening the belly...as a former weight lifter who has a fairly good grasp on
nutrition, I have to point out that belly fat is almost all diet (unless you're
a 17 year old boy). :( I never found the magic trick and have one helluva quad
belly now. lol Strengthening is always good though, as long as it done safely,
as wheelchair pointed out.

Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Stomach Exercises

Call me PollyAnn'ish,  but I always suggest working with a physical
therapist or certified body trainer.  Since injuries vary so greatly.. so
does the ability to exercise properly.  Even those without SCI, have been
known to over exercise and be injured.  Muscle fatigue could be an issue
and one has to act gradually to increase those muscle tones.  I've seen
some TENS units used on stomach muscles, and binders to assist those who were
trying to build and restore muscles.
Once you get the hang of the various types of exercises that are right for
you... you can go on your own.
I wish you loads of luck and tell all of us YOUR results.

Best Wishes
