HHmm it should not leak much--is yours still fairly new? if so may leak early after getting it OR if it becomes clogged by sediment. (if clogged you can simply moved or wiggle the catheter a bit or flush it if needed ) mine only clogged a few times the 1st year. My doc gave me a good size one, it's a 24 french. Me and my wife found it much easier to always use an overnight bed bag--it has a long hose and we run it thru my pants leg and just hang the bag facing in on the side of my chair--I have a leather carry pouch or bag that I hang over it that holds my cards-keys-remote and etc. We have done this for like 14 years and we drain the urine in the morning and at night for bedtime. (as far as a bit of blood or drainage around the belly hole area---we just use triple antibiotic and cut a slice in a guase pad so the hose can go into the center area of the pad) A bit of tape can help hold that in place. I'm afraid to go out into public. Do you lay on your side? I'm afraid of accidentally (spasm) rolling over and tugging on the tube. I've kept it strapped to my leg where the urologist placed it on the day of the operation (Oct 10). Before, I used an external cath for 15+ years, slightest infection was cleared up with apple cider vinegar and cream of tarter. Been using D-manoose the last few weeks as a preventative. I have had it now about 15 years and I love it. It also leaves "other" parts of your body available for what "they" were made for. I am a man and appreciate that part. BUT, do not think it is the end of your bladder problems! I drink a tall glass of water with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in the morning. The high ph level in the vinegar "burns" the walls of the bladder and any bateria in it. I do not recall the last bladder infection I had. > > > > > >From: Fragile <[email protected]> >To: quad-list <[email protected]> >Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2012 2:13 PM >Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Suprapubic info > > >Just had one done on Oct 10.
