So, all this talk about wounds and having to stay in bed got me to thinking. Everybody's talked about how to keep our minds busy, etc. I haven't really read anything about what to eat to help hurry along the healing process. Years ago, I remember being told that we do most of our healing while asleep & protein is our best source of nutrition for healing. Over the summer, I've had a dot on my ishial that recently has turned into an open sore. I HATE staying in bed!! But, living a full life is as important being healthy w/no wounds. I, however, did stay in bed the last 2 days b/c I had a red spot on my pants Monday night which scared the crap out of me. And, I have a huge weekend coming up. I say all this to get to the 'food'. I searched 'wound healing food' and came up w/this link..... http://www.livestrong.com/article/113952-foods-heal-wounds/ Here's my question, tho....what do y'all eat that's easy for somebody to feed you and how often do you eat? But I do get up for a couple of hours a few days a week. Pressure sore on my butt I just don't think I can do the surgery. Having to go 4-6 weeks with no getting up at all. I need a bit of sun a few days a week. I went a whole week once and it did not heal any faster that week.
