I finely started the new chair process. I just kept putting it off. Cost to darn much, I owe 20%. They told me Medicare no longer pays for seat elevator or faster motors. So that's even more for me. I have AARP Medicare Replacement. Covers a bit more, but same rules for durable medical.
Was anyone able to get seat elevator or faster motors covered? If so, what need did you use?
I never tie down, I sit sideways behind the seat. Now my motors auto break is so warn out, I roll a lot. We had to hit the breaks hard coming home. I was too much at an angle and rolled into the back of the seat. Snapped my joystick right off. All the screws just snapped. Luckily I had 1 extra screw at home. Supposed to use 4.
The new chairs sound pretty good. Said it could have a USB, and the joystick can operate remote controls. Very cool.
