When I was having trouble breathing, I would do breathing exercises several times a day with a spirometer. I think it helped quite a bit.

They usually know what to say when you have a problem like this. If maybe they will send you to a pulmonologist, who should have a answer for you! Many years ago when I went to one he gave me a breathing apparatus where I have to suck on a tube and hold air for a few seconds so bro times a day.
