Can you elaborate some on how things broke down under that model? My gut says that if those who are actively contributing are willing to be a maintainer then making them a maintainer seems like a logical step assuming there is a need for another maintainer. On the flip side if a maintainer is no longer active then maybe you have to pass their maintainership along to someone else. I do not think quagga should abandon its current model, I think we just need a larger number of active maintainers. Daniel > > Discuss...
