Curious - maybe they'd become less transparent over the years? The cluster was invisible; now I can see a nice bright red. Biggest problem now is that the foil is showing its age, but it's ok at the moment. One curious thing; no charge light with ignition on, engine off - which implies no charge circuit so now I have to pull it out again. P'raps that's been rewired too...
