The comms link is on ECU pins 15+16. =o(

It's connected directly to the central locking module, with wires tee-ed in for the PATS. So it looks like I'll be transplanting the PATS module when I find it. (This means pulling the dash apart, which needs good weather.)

Hopefully the central locking won't be necessary, I think that might be tied in with the central timer module somehow.

On the up-side, I'm quite getting to like the idea of having the PATS system hidden behind the dash with a key/transponder nearby, maybe in the glovebox or ashtray or central console. Remove the key and the security system will be invisible - no keyhole.

I've been through the wiring diagrams to produce an excel pinout of the ECU (coded DOCK). It's not quite finished yet, couple of queries still to iron out. But if anybody wants a copy, give me a shout.

On the remote keys the pats is inside and there is no red dot.
As long as it was external and the ecu didn't talk to the Pats module with a comms link you should be able to bypass it.
