I've been back at work on it this week. Yesterday I established that
the Mondeo V6 brakes - 260mm - fit without issue except that the
mounting holes on the XR2 uprights need drilling out to 12mm. The 13"
TVR wheel *almost* fit - they go on but won't turn without
grinding...

The 15" focus wheels are about ten millimetres further from the
mounting surface to the back of the rim, and so will need spacers to
clear the rear swing arms - I've ordered 10mm spacers for the rear -
and the track rod ends; 6mm there. Rally Design are supplying;
hopefully today or tomorrow. The focus wheels need smaller tyres too;
I'll probably go for 185/55 though 195/50 will give the same rolling
radius - it's about 5% smaller than the Fiat speedo expects but I can
live with that.

The drive shafts were cut and TIG welded yesterday; we left them
cooling overnight.

More later.

Neil
