Interesting....I've had my 246 quote from FJ, and asked them what they could
do for reduced miles - they said they didn't have anything cheaper ( I
didn't ask them specifically for a non-club deal). It may have been the next
day expiry that prmpted this stance. Shopping around I went to Adrian Flux
(who insure my Rickman) to be given a very hard sell, at a price of 228
..... "do you want me to do that deal now, you have 14 days if you wish to
cancel" was repeated twice, and then to add more pressure the good lady
asked if I wanted to insure my house with them - crikey as bad a double
glazing sales.
On to Graham Sykes, a less pressured pitch and they called me back to offer
£155 for 3k miles, but as I live in sleepy Norfolk, I may have got a better
deal by trying 2gether - still at least I saved £90 and (TBH) didn't give
FT the trade, as I consider they are not being totally 'british' about this,
shame as Andy's put a lot of work into it.

Hi folks, its insurance renewal time again and as usual FJ's quote
does not take into account membership, coming in at £246.98.
I gave the insurerers of my rickman a call before commiting myself to
FJ again, lucky I did really as there quote was £90, fully comp but
without all the extras that FJ include, although I haven't used any of
the extras in the last 5 years I've also set a milage of 5000 but I
only use the car six months anyway.
