Mine was uninsured for about 2 weeks while i sorted out getting a quote from
other companies.
Not used of course.
But I notice the continuous insurance details don't actually mention a time
period.
But it would be silly to expect me to declare the car sorn, send the tax
disc back for a refund and then re-tax it 2 weeks later.
I'd loose 2 months tax for a start.

My insurance was up tomorrow so, with this continuous insurance
malarkey starting to worry me, I finally got around to making some
calls.
I rang 2gether and told them that £100 was the figure I had in mind,
from the discussion here.
They didn't flinch at all and have done the job for £108.16. That's
fully comp including commuting and legal cover (limited mileage). By
my calculations that's 44% of the amount FJ wanted.
I got the impression I could have haggled more but I'm quite chuffed
with that.
