I can appreciate your concerns and your wish to do something about it but while the topicis being discussed may I pose an extra question. Working at Ford I had the chance of driving many Ford models (and some of our competitors' vehicles) and have owned Fiestas, Escorts, Transit vans and even a Fiesta van during which time I have always found that the brakes were good and some very good, yet all the Quantum models I have owned or driven the brakes, at best, seem to be adequate rather than reassuring. I don't drive 'on the brakes' brake pads tend to last for 50 000 miles plus, but I do like the brakes to be there for me, when I need them. Any comments? Michael
