It reminds me of the rubbing strip used on the sides of boats, maybe
something could be found from that source ?

The rubber in question was specially made to order for the original Quantum and
will prove very costly to get another supplier to make low numbers.
An H4 owner and myself are looking into making GRP covers to go over this area
and would like to know if it is worth making moulds to repair a few H4s or
weather to make a 1 off custom part.
