The inline filter that I fitted was to replace the one in the tank, stops
any muck getting into the pump. I now have an easily replaceable filter,
rather than one in the tank. From past experience the filter in the tank
gets restricted over many years & can cause the symptom Mark is
experiencing, I first had this happen on an Escort Sport way back in the
70's.
