It seems we are all 'suffering' from the same general problem. The Quantums
just go on forever! As such we are now seeing the ageing problems of systems
and the need for a classic style rebuild/renovation every so often.

I have a friend who has worked for Ford in design for a long time and a few
years ago he told me that the design life of the cars was 8 years! If you got
10 years you have done better that they expected. My Q 2+2 is 13 years on the
road since I built it, with the original untouched 1989 (24 years old) CVH1600
engine, rear axle, etc. I have recently realised we need Eddie and other
enthusiasts to help us run what are now classic cars with classic car needs.
But with TLC they go on forever. That's the interest and value for money for
me.

So thanks to all the club members and their combined wisdom. Keep the Quantums
going.

Derek
