So,

The fuse is on the ignition loop and I believe should be 10 amp. I have
tried 15 amp but did not want to go further than this.
I can drive the car round at normal speed just being careful when
accelerating not to give it too much. It is only when I have a lead foot
that it blows. I could happily drive the car round and not blow it as long
as I am careful. I need to check with a few more tests but It may also be
only in second gear that this is happening but that could be wrong.
I have put the car into neutral, put my foot to the floor and nothing
happens, I have tried rocking it, stalling it, shaking it about but nothing
replicates it. The car just ticks over as you would expect.
This is a new fault that has just come on in the alst week. I havent driven
the car for a few weeks and it was not there on the last run. I started it
on Monday, the fuel pump cut out so I checked the fuse conections and one
was loose. I then pushed this in and all was fine. I assumed that was that
but then as I drive it is now blowing this 10amp fuse during acceleration.
This is a 1.8ltr zetec on twin webbers.

As for the fuse, its just a simple break, no spark, no blankening of the
plastic or melting at all.

Thanks

Ricky
