I’ve just ordered a Q&H branded thermostat, so hopefully that will do it for me
;-) I think it’s a Q&H in the Saloon that is working well - temp mid gauge.

My 2+2 1600 CVH takes about 4 miles/5mins to warm up so it’s showing on the
temp gauge and starting to blow warm air. It then just sits above the blue
section on the gauge when driving along. Sitting in traffic the gauge goes up
to mid level. But even so the heater works OK. after 15 mins and 11 miles I
have to get out at work and the whole cabin is warm by then, I am turning the
heat down before that.

So it sounds like you need a new thermostat as well. Or is the heater matrix
getting clogged? Is the vent control working? ie. the engine is warm but you
are not.

You can get various engine/cabin preheaters and I now have one to experiment
with. I am going to try a low power heater pad stuck to the sump to warm the
oil when I change the engine on the 2+2. I would like to try a coolant circuit
water heater after that for comparison. Both are 240V pre-plug heat for 15-20
mins before use. Or with the pad you could just leave it on overnight for an
early start, if you want. Some water heaters are thermostatic, but would be
expensive to run for hours on end.
