I use a piece of thin wood to protect the gelcoat and use any part of the sill
barring the ends.

section inside) and I think the 2+2 will be the same, but don't take my word

Whatever you do, don't let anyone jack it under the panhard rod, or (if it
has one) towbar (both common mistakes). You can jack it on the rear axle
either side near to the shock absorber, but beware of brake pipes!
