I agree, the 2+2 sill tube is at least 4mm wall thickness if not 5mm.
You can jack anywhere along it apart from the first and last 9" or so where the sill tube kicks up and isn't directly above the sill fibreglass.

I use a 1" thick block of hardwood (a decking offcut works well) about 6" wide and 9" long with rubber matting on the top.
Plain wood can slip out from under the sill once some weight is on it, BTDT.
The saloon is even worse as the bottom of the sill slopes up.

I prefer to jack the saloon up under the front vertical edge of the floor, so most of the force is going up into the bulkhead.

You can also jack the 2+2 up on the front tie bar mounting brackets.

Its best to either closely supervise MOT testers or not watch at all.
Some of the places they decide to jack up Quantums are rather scary.

The thickness of the steel used on the 2+2 is much thicker (i cant remember
exaclty but it is much thicker when i measured it when i made the floor pan
mods to mine for the 4x4)than on the saloons. The box is also capped off and
fully laminated over at both ends unlike the saloons after kicking up over the
wheel arches
