The test drive when the temp guage reading wasnt too hot and stayed there
consistently, the ambient air temp was around 16 degrees.
Next drive the air temp was at least 5 degrees hotter. The stability didn't
stay for long and the guage started to kreep up to the red...
Then my son noticed water dripped in the passenger foot well. Not much, then I
noticed the temp recovered to the previous level.
Are zetecs prone to airlocks, I noticed I had to top up a litre of coolant?
I recognise I need to change the stat but that will be major as not one bolt
will undo normally I'll try freezing the bolts to see if that will help free
the bolts.
Cheers
Mark
