Hello there,
did someone find a solution for the 3D problem yet ?
I've treid to make an own 3D model loader but my Objective-C skills
are very limited.
I was happy to be able to switch to Objective-C++ and pass OpenGL
commands.
I'm a C++ guy (in fact a C guy which just uses the classes from C++)
and I don't know the least thing about programing for Mac OS X but
about platform independent stuff and OpenGL.
What I've done is an OFF-File loader which I was already using with
GLUT.
OFF files can be generated using Blender, like Obj files (the obj file
format seems to be also simple. I should be able to adopt that, too).
The problem here is I'm unable to pass patch settings (especially the
path to the model) to my C++ Class for loading and displaying OFF-
files. But it works well if the path is hard coded.
For now this patch works with the lighting environment and trackball
but is unable to be used with the "render in image" patch.
Maybe someone with Obj-C skills can help me to get it usable for
everyone.
If someone is interested in the code just ask.
I'd be glad to help to solve this thing for everyone (and for my
self ;) )
Michael
