There are a few things that could be enhanced in my plugin:

- Texture and Material support (.mtl files)
- Load geometry into a display list, and embed the display list into the qtz to make the qtz self-contained (no need for .obj and .mtl file). - Publish textures as image ports and load textures with Image Importer patches.

I wrote an OBJ loader from some NVIDIA sample code a few month ago. It has a few rough edges, but it works ok. You can use QC's Lighting patch, etc...
