Cool, I will take a look at the changes to see if anything might apply to my situation. As to the machine, it does not appear to be the case, see below. I have many reported bugs and so I took a look at analyzing them to see if there was similar hardware in common, it did not appear to be the case. I was seeing many different video cards both ATI and NVIDIA. Another thing to note is that this seems to be sporadic. The one user I talked to said they were not having the problem anymore and I would assume that if this was always crashing for certain users I would be hearing some complaints. So far no one has complained but they have kindly submitted the crash reports. Aha! by enabling Guard Malloc I can get a slightly similar crash every time. This feels like the same issue. This will take some time to track down but at there is now a reproducible case. I will report back when I figure this out or find a workaround.
