If the midi has some tempo events, then they will override the tempo changes
you make.
Best thing you should do, control f for find, and search for tempo. If it shows
up, then that tempo has overridden the change you made. In order to delete the
tempo event, go to event list with control l, find it, and delete.
Then you should be able to change tempo with no problem, the way you normally
would.

Subject: QWS List Slowing Down Tempo

  Hi,

I installed version 1.53, and then I opened up the midi I wanted to work
with, and did a control T. I lowered the tempo, and chose ok. I was hoping
that I could use the spacebar and left and right arrows to play the song at the
reduced tempo. However, the song seemed to revert back to its original tempo.
I didn't want to save the midi, I just wanted to work with it.

Am I doing something wrong? Or, is QWS not intended to work as I was hoping.
I think I experienced this behavior in 1.48 also.

  Thanks.
