Hi RaceBasers,
Confirmation that there's little change to penetrometer readings from
August 1. Although NZTR is attempting to push them into the background
and educate punters to rely on the track descriptions rather than the
readings. The readings will still be available as follows --
FAST -- 2.0 or less (new category - old FIRM)
GOOD -- 2.1 to 2.5 (new category - old FIRM)
DEAD -- 2.6 to 3.5 (same as before - old EASY)
SLOW -- 3.6 to 4.5 (same as before - old SOFT)
HEAVY -- 4.6 plus (same as before)
