This is ludicrous, and plainly pointless
Why even change anything---They are just words

And as for the Penetrometer Readings, OMG

Go back 25-30 years ( I can go back a lot further )

Fast
Firm
Easy
Soft
Heavy

The wheel has already been invented, why can't the Idiots realize that
Too many Australian thinking Yuppies TRYING to revamp what was a
very sensible and easy to understand format.
Hey, and whats more----IT WORKED

Oh, I forgot---Winning TIMES

Times are only as good as the day they were posted,
or against the quality of the opposition that competed,
or the way the race was run on the day.
If they were that important we would just have to punt on the fastest horse,
on the conditions that suit, and we would have a winner.
NOT TRUE.

Winning times, never have been,
and never will be a guide to picking winners in THIS COUNTRY

So lets get back to reality in regards to Track Conditions

"DEAD" are you sure that is a terminology for tracks, or is it a
description of the "Brains Trust"

I really hope Gilbert is back in the country, he will love having a "Crack"
at me over this. ( LOL )

Good punting everyone

> FAST -- 2.0 or less (new category - old FIRM)
> GOOD -- 2.1 to 2.5 (new category - old FIRM)
> DEAD -- 2.6 to 3.5 (same as before - old EASY)
> SLOW -- 3.6 to 4.5 (same as before - old SOFT)
