I found the ultimate fix was to replace it with a RECIVA based
streaming radio from GraceDigital. This solution has proven to be so
reliable (100%) that I bought another based on this platform from
OXXDigital.

My SBR has been sitting in a box in the closet since. If and when Slim
Devices and Logitech figure out how to write firmware for a function as
complicated as an alarm clock (eyeroll), I'll consider bringing it back
out.
