I've had good luck with my Radio wireless. Most of my players are wired, but my Radio is not. My Radio isn't very near my access point, and since it has batteries it is often taken fairly far from the access point. Without noting actual "signal strenght" readings from the UI, its wireless seems to be on par with my Boom (which I used to run in similar locations wireless as well), maybe a bit better. You may have a bad unit, or there may be some interference source which for whatever reason doesn't clobber you SB3 as bad.
