Thanks for your reply. I am beginning to suspect a few things after further testing. I do not think the unit is bad, but may still give another a try -- cause I want this to work: 1) The wireless hardware is completely different internally to that of the SB3. I tried changing the Ethernet Encapsulation Transform the AP uses from the standard RFC1042 to 802.1H.... The SB3, rock solid as they are cannot connect with 802.1H. But the SBR connects. Not acceptable to use this, as I need all my devices to connect. Doubt if it really matters..signal strength was the same. 2) I do have congestion, and there are may APs with small signals visible... this may be something the SBR has great difficultly with, while the SB3 is not bothered...as you so stated. I can stream FLAC at 24/48 to both SB3s simultaneously with no issue...so clearly there are wifi performance issues with the SBR 3) related to (1)...I do think there is simply less signal getting to the SBR wireless system... if internal antenna...or just sensitivity of the different hardware -- or a combination of both. -- jt25741 SB3->AR Masters Coax -> PS Audio DLIII (Cullen L3) -> Cardas Golden Reference XLR -> Sim Audio P-5 -> Cardas Golden Reference XLR -> Sim Audio W-5 -> Cardas Golden Reference Hi-Mid,PS Audio Xstream Plus Low-> Magnepan 3.6R ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jt25741's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8645 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87339 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
