Just FYI for everyone who is interested in this thread: In anticipation of trying the SBR with an Ethernet Bridge.... I brought it over to a wired port and attempted to reconfigure the unit for Ethernet. Believe it or not the SBR was incapable of getting a DHCP address from my Cisco Router. This is another first for me....with the Squeezebox radio. I have tried repeatedly and there is another bug here. Between IPADs, 3 android phones...2 bridges, 3 Squeezbox radios...4 computers.......and everything in between...no client has ever had a problem negotiating DHCP...but the Squeezebox Radio :) And yes, there were ample IPs left(I'll dig through the DHCP Server logs to see what it says later, or turn DHCP debug on the router). Wowwy zowwy....this thing seems so Alpha -- and I am among the most tolerant of querky tech. I gave it a static IP/DNS and it worked OK(which the process couldn't have been more lame through the GUI). If anyone is interested I will explain what is so lame about that part.
