Hi, well, I bit the bullet and bought the SB Radio. Having had pretty good experience with my SB Duet for several years, I thought this would be just as easy/enjoyable to use. No joy, yet.
In Automatic dimming mode, the screen won't dim to complete blackness, even when I have a thick cloth draped over it; in an unlit room at night, and peeking through the bottom left corner of the cloth, I can see the display is still on. Furthermore, imagining that the screen HAS gone dark, when I push any random button the clock does not appear, rather the last "page" of the menu appears. This seems contrary to what I've read, that once the screen goes black and nothing is playing, if I push any button a clock will appear. I'm very mad at myself for this compulsive purchase, as in France we have no "right of return" consumer laws.
