Andy, I am a bit confused by your post, when you say "had a G1100/G3100"
do you mean "have"? I ask because Phil said he had to turn in his old
router (which also had the problem), and on the new router, Phil already
mentioned that he had SON disabled, and my previous post referenced the
manual saying that SON "may" enable 802,11r.

The one thing that has been asked but not addressed is Phil's proximity
to neighbors. There are posts all over this forum where "radios suddenly
stopped working" was traced back to a neighbor's new router and wifi6.
To check for this possibility, one thing that has been suggested, but I
am not sure if it has been tried - I use an android app called "wifi
analyzer", I am sure there are iphone equivalents, where you can see the
signal strength, channel, etc of all the networks in proximity,
including your own, to see whats happening. I am very rural, so the
answer for me is "not much" :). But I have used it for friends.

I really feel for Phil, this has been an ordeal. Everybody is different,
but when I get to this point in problem solving I start swapping things
out. One thing that you can maybe help walk him through it Andy is to
get an old basic router, connect it to the verizon router, put the
verizon router in bridge mode (if you can) or just turn the verizon wifi
radios off.

Jim
