This is all a bit off topics isn't it. My interpretation of the topic in question form is "to what degree should you strive for test isolation through mocking and stubbing?"
I am a mockist and agree with the statement. The problem is finding the golden combo of tools and plugins to keep the mocking and stubbing bloat to a minimum and coupled with a good work flow. I find the "Not A Mock" (http://notahat.com/not_a_mock) way of doing expectations better fits my work flow, but because it replaces the standard mock framework it can clash with other tools. Pity.
