As Pat said, If your suiting employer is wanting to pay you junior level
rates, just because your new to a language, they are not the type of people
you would want to try and make yourself valuable to.You could give it a
crack, but its a bit of a battle.

A switched on organisation will, most of the time know, if you have the
aptitude to hit the ground running, and as everyone has pointed out self
development is key in securing that trust.

You want to work for a company which understands the current eco system and
how upskilling can create such a dilemma, this will make it easier when
negotiating salary.
