I've been down a bit lately and discovered at the UPS drop off sight a lady who just took her time to greet me, and help me out..
It lifted me in my moment.. and now is whitnessing to me a lesson in *Pass it on.. feel good *spirit. Perhaps the boys of Royal Rangers need to know that they are welcome and important to you as a leader. Useing the Golden rule in your personal interaction, and being pleasent can be a great tool for good. Without thinking, often I criticize boys for childish pranks.. Last night I barked when a boy took another's hat and stomped on it.. (*delayed stress over the preacher and the $20 bill<G>) After I barked.. I watched and I hadn't gained all that much. *I'll work on that.. later another boy came who wanted a sign off.. and I was impressed and honored that he came to me for the check.. *What is different between these two boys? First, I admire the easy going one, the smart one.. This boy I compliment, praise and smile at.. Second, I sort of expect the first boy to go wackydoodle.. This boy I watch like a hawk, correct, call his name, tell him to listen ect. It's likely that I would not PRAISE HIM.. *The UPS Lady surprised me with her kindness.. I didn't think it was comming or due me. Thanks for reading this!
