> My Pastor is giving me time in our morning service to request for workers
in Rangers. I am looking for ideas any of you might have to let the people
show the need we have.

While it is great that your Pastor is willing to give you time to present
the need, my experience is that it does not work. It is too easy for the
average pew-sitter to ignore your plea (even to ignore the prompting of the
Holy Spirit). What does work, is to ask men to be a helper personally. I
tell them that they don't have to teach, lead, or go on any outing -- just
be a extra pair of hands in the room. What happens is they get to "test
drive" the program. They see what it is all about with the pressure of
committing. You can also ask certain men who have desirable skills to make
something for you. They did it for me because they see my commitment, they
know I have my hands full and this is a way they can help. My experience is
most men are afraid of being in front of a group. I have recruited 3
leaders that way.

"Dear Jesus, It is written that we are to ask the Lord of the harvest for
workers. For my brother Kevin, may he find favor in your sight and You
bring forth workers in his outpost. What he is laboring for is for Your
glory, Your Honor, and Your Kingdom. Blessed be your name. Amen."

Best wishes,
Kelvin
