USA Christian faith also has not embraced pacifisum with reguard to use of force. Our recent culture since the 1900's has reacted to international wars by a great spirit of martial will to set "things straight" ...and Guns were the instrument of that "Peace". Current politics is not all that different.. as Americans beleve a strong defence and armed force protects the "Peace"... Law is good for the settlement of disputes among freemen of good will. There are still those outside the law. *Those that abuse freedom, and misuse a Gun are criminals! Criminals should be brought to justice by LAW ENFORCEMENT. *If Law Enforcement is to work, it must actively press on and arrest and charge the evil doer with the current laws... And there are plenty-plenty! To own a gun: Must be 18 Must be a US Citizen Must not have criminal record Must not be served with restraining order Must not be mentaly impared You do not have to show a "Need" *That is assumed to be your "right" ...and many honorable Americans support the right to keep a gun.
