Great sentiments Eddie.
For many people Rangers is a way of life.

But I'm not sure that that is enough - as noble as it is.

True - you need fever. 'cept I call that Enthusiasm (you will enjoy
http://www.zalakos.com/perfect/marketing/vital.html )

However, even my two vital ingredients (Enthisasm and Attitude) won't cut
it forever.
There needs to be something more.

That something is "purpose".\Why are you in Ranger.
What's the point.

Is it to take kids camping and teach them how to tie knots.

NO!!!!!

The reason to be in Rangers is found in out aim: to reach, teach and keep
children for Jesus.

That's why I give up a weeknight each week.
That's why I go camping.
That's why I rearranged my life to devote it to ministry.

Purpose is stronger than passion.
Purpose is stronger than will.
Purpose is stronger than desire.
Purpose is stronger than any program.

As heretical as it may seem, I'd dump Rangers in a second, IF I could find
a ministry that was more effective at reaching, teaching and keeping.

Have you connected to the "purpose" in your ministry/program?
Victor.
