<Snip!> With great respect for the *Ideal.. I don't agree.. There is MORE to leadership than just keeping your eyes on Jesus.. *When we drive we are to keep our eyes on the road.. and drive defensively. When we are charged with the safty and welfare of others, we are more the "Guard at the gate" than a full time Jesus praiser. I was raised in a fashion that held that God had all power and authority. I discovered.. that there is power and authority all over that don't seem Godly, or in line with anything good. So we have a duty to sort out the wheat from the chaff and do right. Leadership to me seems more like holding "faith" and perserviering against un-seen odds<G> "Pastor" calls us to prayer and worship.. But "Pastor" also expects you to prosper in the world and return a tithe and offering for his good work.. Before I get my thought all muddy<G> I'll end by saying.. The "ministry" of the pulpet on sunday.. is likely NOT the ministry of a Royal Ranger leader. It's different.. more of influence than oration.. preaching and commandments. (I allways chaffe when someone says "*It don't matter what") forgiveness applyed for-<G> -=A=- ===== *High MORALE is the Index of effective Leadership. --------------********+********-------------------- Morale raises belief of the Leader in the follower, of the follower in the Leader, of each in themself, and both in the .....cause! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
